Wednesday and Thursday

In prepping for my race this Saturday, I rode a mountain bike ride with Byron and Jeff up to Etz Malloy fire road outside of Encinal Canyon and then got up early to get in nearly an hour of swimming with the class. Feel pretty good :)

Chance to race!

I am pumped to be able to race this Saturday in a warm-up sprint in Arroyo Grande. The details have come together for me to be to go! Details to follow.

March Totals

Welcome to April 1. March is in the books and here are what my totals look like.

March's totals:
Bike:10h 40m 58s - 136.25 Mi
Run:7h 55m 42s - 6.6 Mi

The distances are all off because I only tab them when I know them for sure. Usually I am swimming or running for time.

MUMC Triathlon teams

I could not be more excited to announce that we will field four relay teams for the Sunday Classic distance from our church. These teams will feature 12 church members racing an individual leg of the event. Someone will swim, pass the ankle timer off to a cyclist, who in turn passes the band off to a runner. It is so great to be a part of a community that emphasizes the value of physical as well as spiritual disciplines.

AND WE ARE BAAAAAAAACK!

And you thought you had seen the last of me!

After some down time through the darkest winter months, March has put me back on track. I am registered for the OLYMPIC distance of the Malibu Triathlon this year. The event takes place Saturday, September 12th.

This distance is an upgrade for me. It will involve a 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bike ride, and a 10 km run. Should be awesome! I am training already with the distance in mind, and will report back on shorter races that I will get to do building towards the big kahuna.
